Briefly introduce yourself, what is your role in the OzCode team?
Hi, I’m Anna Ostrovsky, UI developer here at OzCode. I’m 28 years old, live in Tel-Aviv with my boyfriend and a Siamese fighting fish.
Before OzCode I worked in online marketing as a customer portfolio manager. Since I was always interested in UX I decided to make a career change and focus on creating user experiences.
What are you working on now?
Currently I’m working on improving OzCode’s Search feature. We’re developing a new, smarter and more intuitive UI. Usually I work on new features or find new ways of improving OzCode’s existing features, their appearance and usability.
What does it mean to be a good at your job?
You need to be able to focus on the small details – every pixel counts. Even a small change can have a big impact on how things look. You must be user and detail oriented. I always think – how would a customer use this feature and how can I develop the UI exactly as it was planned and designed.
What is your favorite OzCode feature?
UX wise I like LINQ debugging which we’re still improving. It provides a lot of information in a smart, innovative way.
What do you like to do in your spare time
I like to read – right now I’m in the middle of reading “The Charm School” by Nelson DeMille
I dance (Ballet), swim and cook (on Instagram). And in between I binge watch my favorite TV shows – currently Black Mirror.
